Our Wedding

It all started with a lunch date over Thanksgiving weekend in 2019. Bethany was visiting Toronto from Montreal, where she was studying at McGill. Lucas was living and working in the city. After a few weeks of chatting, they finally met in person — and things clicked right away. That first date quickly turned into a second the very next day: a movie (Joker — probably not the most romantic choice), followed by a walk through the aquarium. The early days weren’t without their challenges, but they made it work — through weekend visits and many FaceTime calls. When Bethany moved back to Toronto due to the pandemic, life together truly began. They rode out the lockdowns side by side with takeout dinners, endless games of Catan, and Harry Potter marathons. In 2022, they moved into their own place and soon after brought home Scout — their clever, stubborn Shiba who quickly established himself as the boss of the house. Since then, they’ve shared unforgettable memories: countless concerts, wandering the streets of New York City, soaking up the magic of Disney World, exploring the beauty of Banff, and visiting Lucas’ hometown in Newfoundland. After five years together, Lucas proposed during a layover in London, just before their big trip to Africa. It was the last place Bethany expected it — and the perfect start to the adventure of a lifetime. They spent two unforgettable weeks on safari in Kenya, soaking up the sun and spices of Zanzibar, and wrapped it all up in Amsterdam. Now, they’re excited for the next chapter — and can’t wait to celebrate their wedding surrounded by the people who matter most.

Bethany met Emma on the very first day at Western University, and they have been inseparable ever since. From many movie nights to spontaneous adventures, they’ve been through it all together. She’s the kind of friend who tells it to you straight, always with love and unshakable loyalty. Emma’s the one the Bride will call when she needs advice, a reality check, or just a good time. It’s an absolute honour to have Emma as her matron of honour.

Bethany and Rachael have been friends since they met at Western University and instantly bonded over their love for country music—cue the cowboy boots. She is the kind of friend who shows up, stands up, and never lets you down. Loyal to the core, she’s always there—whether you need heartfelt advice, a good laugh, or a strong cocktail. It’s a true privilege to have her as matron of honour.

Noah’s been by Lucas’s side since day one — younger brother, player two, and lifelong sidekick. From Star Wars marathons to family trips full of inside jokes, they’ve done it all. Loyal, sharp, and always up for a laugh, Noah’s the perfect Best Man.

Lucas and Ryan have been through it all — from working together in St. John’s to starting fresh in Toronto. They’ve always brought the energy, whether it was an ordinary Tuesday or a big moment. It’s an honour to have Ryan as Best Man.

Pack your bags... We are going to Mexico!! We have chosen the stunning 5-star, all-inclusive Hard Rock Hotel Los Cabos in Mexico for our wedding celebrations! We are working with our wedding travel agent, Cristina Campagna, to help make the room booking process easy and smooth for everyone. Cristina has secured special group rates for our guests and blocked a number of rooms during our wedding week — April 7th to 12th, 2026. You can choose to book for any number of nights (minimum of 3) within those dates using our exclusive room block rates.We highly recommend booking early! Wedding Date: April 10th, 2026 Travel Window: April 7th–12th, 2026. You can book as many nights as you'd like within these dates (minimum 3-night stay). The group rates listed below apply only during this window. We strongly recommend arriving at least 24–36 hours before the wedding in case of any travel delays or cancellations. Want to stay longer or inquire about a different room category? Contact our travel agent Cristina at <a href="mailto:cristina@lizmooreweddings.com" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">cristina@lizmooreweddings.com</a> to add more nights to your stay at the same price based on availability. Deposit Deadline: To secure your room at the group rate, a non-refundable deposit of USD $200 per room is required by November 28th, 2025 (130 days before arrival). After this date, rooms will be subject to availability and current rate which may be priced higher. This deposit is refundable up until January 5th, 2026 in case you need to cancel your travel plans. Final Payment: The remaining balance will be automatically charged on February 7th, 2026 (60 days before arrival) to the card used at the time of booking.

CHANGES and CANCELLATIONS

Cancellations on or after January 07, 2026 will incur $200 penalty. Between 90 - 61 days prior to scheduled arrival, deposit is non refundable. Cancellations on or after February 06, 2026 will incur 50% penalty. Between 60 - 31 days prior to scheduled arrival, 50% of the total room revenue will be assessed. Cancellations on or after March 08, 2026 will incur 100% penalty. Between 30 - 0 days prior to scheduled arrival, 100% of the total room revenue will be assessed.

IMPORTANT TRAVEL INFORMATION

1. Only have 1 person from your party make a room reservation using the booking form. Don't have 2 people in the same room fill out the same form.&nbsp;2. Shared transportation to and from the airport are included in the price.&nbsp;This means you might be in the transfer with other guests.&nbsp;3. Ensure that your passport is valid for 6 months from your return date. Every guest requires a passport.&nbsp;4. Flights are not included in these rates.&nbsp;5. Current inventory is available on a first-come, first-served basis. DO NOT wait to book your room as this resort is popular &amp; sell out frequently.&nbsp;6. If you find a better price elsewhere, please send a screenshot to Cristina (cristina@lizmooreweddings.com) so she can ask Hard Rock to match the rate and you can still be part of our group! Important to note:&nbsp;If you book at a different hotel/resort, you cannot partake in activities leading up to the wedding and/or wedding ceremony without incurring additional fees for daily passes starting from $100 USD per person/per day. The airport you are flying into is Los Cabos International Airport (SJD). We recommend you book your flights as early as you can. You can go ahead and secure them at any time with your favorite airline. CONSIDER USING POINTS TO PAY FOR YOUR FLIGHTS! Booking your flight independently will provide the best cost savings.
